## Overview
StockIn is a market tracking app. Your privacy matters — we collect minimal data and never sell your information.
## Data We Collect
### Data Stored On Your Device Only
- **Portfolio watchlist**: Stock and crypto symbols you save are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
- **App preferences**: Your settings and selected tabs are stored locally on your device.
### Data Sent to Third-Party APIs
When you use StockIn, the app makes network requests to display market data. These requests may include:
- **Finnhub (finnhub.io)**: Stock symbols are sent to retrieve quotes, charts, and news. Finnhub's privacy policy applies to their processing of this data.
- **CoinGecko (coingecko.com)**: Requests for cryptocurrency market data. No personal information is sent — only general market data queries.
- **Kalshi (kalshi.com) and Polymarket (polymarket.com)**: Requests for prediction market data. No personal information is sent.
- **OpenAI (openai.com)**: For premium users, aggregated market data (sector averages, top movers, news headlines) is sent to generate AI market briefs. No personal information is included in these requests.
### Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not serve advertisements.
- We do not use cookies or device fingerprinting.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
## Subscriptions
StockIn offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
## Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only network requests made are to the market data APIs listed above, solely to provide you with market information.
## Data Retention
All app data is stored locally on your device. When you delete the app, all local data (portfolio, preferences) is permanently removed.
## Children's Privacy
StockIn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
